I paid over $20 delivery charge and still had to drive to the post office to pick it up because it was sent signature required. Not what I expected.

USPS Signature Confirmation is a value-added service that requires the recipient or a responsible party to sign for the release of a package. After the initial delivery attempt(s) and no individual is available to sign for the package, a door tag will be left, and the package returned to the local Post Office to be made available for pickup by the recipient.   This service grants both shippers and customers peace of mind, especially those with high-value shipments. It's only available for domestic-US shipments.
