This ESD jacket is designed for comfort with a contoured openneckline, roomy raglan sleeves, and a snap front. The matching ESD knit cuffsand ground snap connections on the hip pockets allow for hands-free movementwithout tethering one hand, which is required when using a wrist strapconnected to a ground cord. The surface resistivity of the fabric is 1X10E5,and the sleeve-to-sleeve resistance of the garment is guaranteed to stay below3.5X10E7 for 100 washes or 2 years.

ThisHallmark-style jacket comes with 4mm male ground snaps on the hip pockets.These snap connections are for attaching a standard ground cord, eliminatingthe need for a wrist strap. This connection is also used for testing and/ormonitoring to ensure that the garment and the wearer are grounded. The"Reaching Hand Symbol" next to the breast pocket indicates that thisgarment is a tool for the prevention of static discharge.

Static Control Performance

All Tech Wear garments made of OFX-100 fabric with our ESD knit cuffs or the “Key option” used as recommended, will meet the requirements of the National ESD Association’s ANSI/ESD STM 2.1-2013, Category 3, “Garment used as primary grounding path for personnel” and/or “Grounded through a single wire constant monitor system”, and will maintain these performance characteristics for a minimum of 100 washes or 2 years, whichever comes first.

Laundering Instructions

Wash in cool or cold water with any commercially-available liquid detergent, hang dry or dry at 120°F or less. Do not use bleach, fabric softener, or iron. The carbon-suffused monofilament nylon is sensitive to heat and should not be exposed to drying heat in excess of 120°F. Wash at 90°F (Maximum) and tumble dry at low heat or hang dry. This lightweight fabric will dry very quickly and we recommend hang-drying for maximum life.
